Bushman has the ability to control plants and trees. He can make them grow, collapse, die or anything else what he wants.
Tentacles
Bushman can make thorny tentacles sprout out of his back.
Beast Tongue
Olivier can talk with all kinds of mammals and birds.
The Dryad and Flora
Dryad
The Dryad is an ancient creature wich rests in Oliver as a second personality. The Dryad is a treelike creature with immense strength, a thick bark skin and al Bushmans powers. Unfortunatly, Oliver can't control the Dryad himself.
Flora
Bushmans' beloved Christine Martella aka Flora hosts in his body as wel as a patroness of the Dryad. With her help he can control the ancient being within him. Flora can difuse with Bushman, but if she does the Dryad mostly takes over Olivers mind and he will transform. When difused, Flora can control nature and has minor healing abilities aswel. She can generate solar blasts from her finger when exposed to Sunlight.
Weakness:
Fire, when burnt he can’t grow tentacles and he cannot grow any burnt things. Also he can't control the Dryad and if he is transformed without Flora, he forms a danger to everyone.
History:
As a 10 year old kid, Olivier was lost in the jungles of South-America. Wandering through the wilds, he discoverd he could control the trees around him and talk with the animals. Living without humans for 4 years, he was found by a mutant hater: Eddy Biles. He contacted the sentinals and send one to kill the boy. However, Olivier defeated the robot and fled to the woods, where he nicknamed himself Bushman. Several months later the sentinals found him, this time Bushman was lost. However, the mutant Chess saved him and brought him to Xaviers school for the gifted. After a few years of training he was ready to join the X-men in the group X-Legends together with Chess, Puddle, Bash and Switch. Bushman became close friends with Knives, a mutant who joined the Legends several months later and fell in love with Cristine Martella, one of the other mutants that joined the team. Bushman lost control of his powers when Bash was killed in a figth with the Shades, that day his second personality revealed itself and the Dryad was free. Oliver transformed into a treelike creature that goes on a rampage. The Shades retreated but the Dryad didn't calm down. At the last moment, Christine gave up her shapeshifting nature spirit Flora and became the Dryads watcher. Bushman recovered but mourned about the loss of his beloved. A few months later another ancient treekeeper, Treebeard the father of Puddle, told him that Flora was inside him, and would awake if he needs her.
